Danse Macabre Zip Hooded Sweatshirt
The Dance of Death or Danse Macabre has been interpreted and reinterpreted extensively throughout history as a sort of the art world's cover song.
Danse Macabre art showed death as the great equalizer, with everyone from royalty to peasants forced to join the revelry.
These designs are from David Deuchar (1788), himself copying another artist, who himself was copying Hans Holbein’s dance of death. These designs were taken from “The peddler” and “The noblewoman”, respectively.
